Entertainment at the Deniliquin Ute Muster and Play on the Plains Festival will be bigger and better than ever in 2011.

While keeping many crowd favourites, this year’s Festival on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1, will have a bigger program of around the grounds activities and roving entertainment.

Adding to the regular line up of roving entertainers such as a bounding Roo’d characters will be Deniliquin’s own Brian Harrington and his trained team of Border Collie working dogs together with their duck and pig off-siders.

A circus troupe from Mac Bros Circus including Roy Maloy, Irish O’Reilly – the world’s biggest strongman; the hula hooping Kittens Mittens and Jo Jo the juggling acrobat, will all perform in a circus colosseum.

Plus there’s kite making, Aboriginal story time in a giant blow-up echidna, boomerang painting, a roving magician, Reptile Encounters, and the Sunrice Family Centre which features free face painting, games, woodwork and much more.

Competitions include the Holden Grunt Off and the Burke and Wills swag throwing competition. And there’ll be a 10,000 litre fish tank stocked with Barramundi to test patrons’ fishing skills!

The 2011 Deniliquin Ute Muster and Play on the Plains Festival will also feature the world record blue singlet count, The Australian National Circle Work ChampionshipsTM, ute show and shine competition, ute driving competitions, a bullride spectacular and a huge concert line-up featuring Icehouse, Suzi Quatro, Eskimo Joe, Guy Sebastian, Adam Brand, Troy Cassar-Daley, The Sunny Cowgirls, Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole, McAlister Kemp, Tori Darke and Luke Dickens.

And there’s the 2011 AFL Grand Final broadcast live on the bigscreen with Mental As Anything live on the Muster stage!

Festival passes include all entertainment and camping onsite.
