Welcome to our first Murray Now eNewsletter for 2011
You may have picked up on our enthusiasm this year, with the announcement of our much anticipated State of Region two day event. Our cocktail evening on Friday 18 February at the Albury Racing Club will see the launch of the Murray Now Regional Profile publication. We are delighted to present this eighty four page publication featuring businesses throughout our wonderful region. Be ready for a very entertaining networking evening with wines from Rutherglen Estates, a beautiful selection of canapés, and something for the punters too!
Our Knowledge Workshops start up on Saturday 19 February at 11am. Anyone who has an interest in our economy, specific to our region will definitely acquire an exclusive insight into where our region is heading. The incomparable Jean Kittson will take the stage as M.C on the Saturday evening, Jean knows us from the inaugural dinner we held in February 2010. Jean ensures me she will do her best to have us in fits of laughter once again. Michael Pascoe will be key note speaker, I’ve seen this guy in action before and he certainly knows how to deliver.
Saturday evening also presents a Q&A with an interesting theme “Size doesn’t matter,” this will have us all enthralled. I’m looking forward to having ABC’s Tony Jones directing this segment. The panellists are raring to go and will be announced soon.
It’s an event not to be missed — tickets are selling quickly so book online at www.murraynowsrd.com.au or gives us a call so we can assist with your booking: 02 6058 0600

Jean earned national fame through ABC TV’s THE BIG GIG as a comic chameleon, with characters as diverse as Veronica Glenhuntley the lovelorn newsreader; Candida the new-age aerobics instructor; Rose McCloud, the acerbic air hostess and many others. Following this success, Jean teamed up with Maryanne Fahey to become the first female comedians to have their own show on Australian TV, KITTSON FAHEY, which won a Silver Medal at the New York Television Festival.
Also for television, Jean starred in Channel 9′s comedy series FLAT CHAT, was a regular guest on GOOD NEWS WEEK and THE GLASSHOUSE and a presenter of the ABC’s MEDIA DIMENSIONS program. She is also well known for her lively comedy debates in THE GREAT DEBATE SERIES.
Jean has become a regular guest on ABC TV’s THE EINSTEIN FACTOR and Channel 7’s THE MORNING SHOW.
Jean is one of the most in demand corporate performers equally at home as the most polished and creative master of ceremonies or the hilarious comedienne.
