Greater Hume Shire, located in southern New South Wales on the Victorian border, covers an area of 5,939 square kilometres and is ideally located in the growth corridor between the major regional cities of Albury and Wagga Wagga.
The Hume Highway, which passes through Holbrook, is the primary freight route between Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. Works are well underway on the duplication of the Hume Highway between Tarcutta and Albury and the bypasses of Holbrook and Woomargama in Greater Hume are scheduled to commence in 2010.
The ‘simply greater’ investment choice
There are significant business and investment opportunities throughout Greater Hume Shire with growth, development and new employment opportunities a major focus. The Holbrook and Woomargama bypasses will see greater access to the border cities of Albury and Wodonga and improved opportunities for development.
